farewell, institute.

done with design.
done with studio.

done with all nighters, falling asleep in studio among chipboards, museum boards, glue stuck to my face, waking up to people screaming out of frustration, anxiously clicking away on autocadd, frustratingly going from photoshop to illustrator to autocadd and back and forth.
done with the days when i have to walk into my dorm building i practically called home for four years, done with the mediocre meals from the cafeteria and the so-called 'starbucks coffee', or the stale pizza from yesterday's leftovers in the pie-shop. and done with splurging on take-out meals that i should be eating on mini-date nights. done sharing a kitchen and shower with three other roomates, and having to find most of your bread and jelly gone.

done with the so-called hipsters with paint splattered jeans. and the smokers outside building blowing smoke into your face as you walk pass. done with underpaid frustrated financial aid/bursar employees who could care less about service or serving you, the customer. and the one fat ugly cafeteria guy who refuses to make you a sandwich the way you prefer.

what i'm not done with is,
my view of a lovely downtown brooklyn. not done with living on my own, and waking up next to my boyfriend, sound asleep. not done with coming in and out of my room without a curfew. not done with seeing a handful of friendly faces i hold dear, or the pretty campus pratt that tends to become during spring.

pratt,

you'll be dearly missed. it's been the most hectic, distressful, educative, fun, boring, frustrating, nerve-wrecking, inspiring four years of my life.

thank you.
thank you,
with not so much love, but appreciation,

an interior design graduate.
a pratt alumni.
